Smart and Renewable Energy System to Power a Temperature-Controlled Greenhouse

This paper presents the modeling and simulation of a Multi-Source Power System (MSPS)—composed two renewable energy sources supported by Battery Energy Storage (BESS)—to supply ventilation heating system for temperature-controlled agricultural greenhouse. The first one is photovoltaic (PV) generator connected to DC/AC inverter second wind turbine Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG). temperature contribution in model PV deeply studied. A Maximum Point Tracking (MPPT) control based on fuzzy logic used drive SEPIC converter feed maximum power greenhouse actuators. operation actuators (ventilation systems), basis mismatch between internal reference one, controlled PI controller optimized logic, more robust results. carried out Matlab/Simulink environment its validation comparison simulated experimental data test greenhouse, located Faculty Science Tunis. results show that proposed provides an efficient solution controlling microclimate different periods year.
